    Imogen is excited to offer this summer weekend retreat at the beautiful Tilton House at Firle, East Sussex. Join her for a weekend of recommitting to your yoga mat after weeks of lockdown.

     

    Much of our recent life lived in covid lockdowns kept us separated from the 'normal' rhythms of life presenting to us a unique set of challenges. Those challenges affect us in so many ways... in the space of our minds, physically in our bodies, emotionally and relationally with those around us. Often these challenges leave little space for pause, reflection and restoration.

     

    Over this retreat weekend we will allow ourselves to open up to the possibilities available to us from our inner resources. Imogen will offer the space for you to nourish and reset so you can retune your body mind, leaving it possible for you to step forward refreshed and recharged.

     

    The weekends teachings will explore a variety of practices; self-myofascial release, meditation, contemplation, soulful vinyasa, yin and deep relaxation.

    Friday, 16th July 2021 - 15:00-17:00 arrive : evening practice will be at 17:30hrs please arrive in time join

    Sunday, 18th July 2021 - 15:00 checkout and departure

    The Food

    Good food is important to the chefs at Tilton House. They aim to use seasonal vegetables in all their meals providing meals that are detoxing. With the exception of breakfast all meals are as sugar free; dairy free and as gluten free as possible. If you have any specific dietary requirements please let Imogen know, they can accommodate almost anything with notice.

    There are plenty of holistic treatments on offer to help soothe your muscles and calm the mind. Including massage & Reiki. Please let Imogen know if you are interested in having a treatment during your retreat.

    Covid Friendly Retreating

    Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, it's currently only possible to allow 12 students on this retreat. Accommodation will be in single rooms or double/twin/triple rooms (if you know the person and can suitably share with them).

     

    If government guidelines for January change and the retreat needs to be postponed then you will be offered the chance to move your retreat to another date at the same venue, or a full refund, less a small admin fee.

     

    If you have been told to self isolate when the retreat is due to commence, then please notify Imogen as soon as possible. She will do her best to replace you with another student, move you to another retreat date or offer you a refund less a small admin fee.

     

    Tilton House are following all recommended government guidelines for retreat venues. There will be some physical restrictions in place at Tilton. Please check these out on the Covid page on their website before you book your spot to ensure you are happy. Imogen will be working closely with Tilton to ensure that the weekend will commence with as much 'normality' as possible.

  • About Imogen North

    Yoga Instructor & Reiki Healer

    Imogen hails from London, England. She trained initially under the expert eye of Katy Appleton and teaches dynamic Vinyasa flow descended from the Krishnamacharya lineage. Imogen has enhanced her teaching becoming one of Judith Hanson Lasater's Relax and Renew® certified restorative yoga teachers and she continues to train with her teacher Tiffany Cruikshank and is Yoga Medicine® certified. In 2017 Imogen set up Safe Space Myanmar, an organisation that takes trauma-sensitive yoga to women from marginalised communities across the country partnering with different NGOs as part of their psycho-social support programmes.

    Imogen's yoga teaching fuses anatomy, physiology and biomechanics with traditional yogic practices; tantra, ritual, and a deep reverence for nature. It honours the lineages of her teachers and through her teaching she hopes to inspire possibility and encourage self-awareness, awakening your authentic creativity as a yoga practitioner in the modern world. Imogen fiercely believes that yoga is for everyone, that it is a vital tradition that transcends all race and religion, fundamental in all of our lives more so now than ever before.

    Road:

    Off the A27 midway between Eastbourne and Brighton, 7 miles east of Lewes, between the villages of Firle and Selmeston. Take the turn off the A27 sign-posted “Charleston Farmhouse”. Go over the cattle grid and follow the broken private road.Go PAST the turn off for Charleston Farmhouse.After which the road bends left, with the South Downs on your right.As soon as you reach a barn directly in front of you, take a small track LEFT past signs FIRLE ESTATE PRIVATE.Continue on to the end and over the cattle grid onto a gravel driveway. You are at Tilton House. Park up and call at the front door.

     

    Rail:

    The countryliner service 125 runs from Lewes on Wednesdays to Friday.     *each cabin has a single bed (sole occupancy without the supplement price) with incredible views and come with electricity, heating and tea and coffee facilities. The two cabins share bathrooms in the main house.

    Terms & Conditions

    CANCELLATION

    • 45 days or more prior to the retreat date: Your payments will be refunded, less £150 which is your non-refundable deposit.

    • 30 days prior to the retreat date: payments are not refundable, but are transferable (less the £150 non-refundable deposit) to a future retreat with Imogen.

    • 21 days or less prior to the retreat date: payments are not refundable.
